Dear Ridge Central Elementary School Families,
It is with great pride and excitement that we write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed principals of Ridge Central Elementary School. We hope that this letter finds you enjoying the relaxing days of summer and that you and your children are looking forward to beginning a wonderful school year together this month. Please see the information below allowing us, Mrs. Katy King and Mrs. Emily Geyer, to introduce ourselves.
I, Mrs. Katy King, am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 10 years. I have worked with a variety of students ranging in age from kindergarten through eighth grade. My most recent administrative experience was in Oak Lawn in Ridgeland 122 school district, where I served as an assistant principal. I am eager and excited to bring my skills and passion as an educational leader to Ridge Central Elementary School and work with you to ensure your child’s educational success.
I, Mrs. Emily Geyer , am so excited to join the Ridge Central Elementary School community! This year will be my 15th year in education, the majority within the Chicago Ridge School District. I served mainly as a sixth grade teacher for the first 12 years of my career at Finley Junior High School. I look forward to partnering with the Ridge Central community to support every child on their educational journey.
All of us at Ridge Central Elementary School are looking forward to the start of another fabulous school year. This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, and relevant to help them build relationships while making real-world connections. As your principals, it is important to us that everyone who steps through our doors — teachers, students, and parents — are excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. As excited as we are to offer this introduction letter, it is the face-to-face interactions that we value most. Also, know that our doors are always open to you. We heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. We look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2022-2023 school year. This will be a FANTASTIC year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Katy King, Principal
Mrs. Emily Geyer, Assistant Principal
