Physical Education Curriculum in Chicago Ridge School District 127.5
Each Physical Education teacher in Chicago Ridge School District 127.5 has a goal to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of Physical Education. Physical Education Curriculum and Objectives
The mission of the Chicago Ridge School District 127.5 Physical Education program is to incorporate the curriculum. As the nation moves forward into the twenty-first century, a tremendous opportunity exists to enhance our health and well-being. Much of that opportunity lies in our ability to address the growing health challenges that are facing children. Although progress is being made; modern technology, video games and other issues promote a sedentary lifestyle, therefore health concerns like poor physical fitness continue to plague our society and most notably our youth. Students at Chicago Ridge School District 127.5 have the opportunity to participate in many individual and team sports, along with fitness and team building exercises. Students will also participate in small sided games and activities in order to increase participation and aerobic activity throughout physical education units.
